Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnoses, develop care plans, and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes.
• Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote patient health and a safe environment.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment.
• Provide health education and information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care across settings.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), TEAM-A, or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Prior experience in an acute care facility emergency department setting.
• Familiarity with Cerner and/or Launchpoint EMR systems and Pyxis medication management systems.
