Associate Scientist

Kelly Science and Clinical FSP is currently seeking a Associate Scientist for a long-term engagement in La Jolla, CA with one of our Global Pharmaceutical clients. This person will join our Kelly FSP (Functional Service Provider) division, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc. Associate Scientist Qualifications Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in scientific field, master’s degree preferred. Will accept PhD candidates Minimum Experience: 2 – 4 years of experience in RNA modalities, process development Strong Knowledge of RNA purification or chemical engineering or related scientific methodologies is highly preferred. Hands-on experience of process development methodologies is required. Hands-on experience with AKTA chromatography system and Unicorn software is required. Should be highly organized and must possess excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Highly organized and capable of working in a team environment with a positive attitude under limited supervision. Location: Must be local to La Jolla, CA Responsibilities Support RNA manufacturing process development by assisting in RNA purification and chromatographic studies. Aid and support system programming, preparation, maintenance, solving, and cleaning AKTA chromatography systems. Setup process equipment for lab-scale experiments. Collaborate with process development and multi-functional colleagues on analytical testing and sample results. Work in a team environment as well as contributing individually to meet project timelines and objectives. Keep accurate records, follow instructions, and align with company and EHSS policies. Implement improvement projects to strengthen overall lab proficiencies. Be accountable for good documentation of experiments.
