Senior Java Modernization Engineer Perl to Java MigrationJob SummarySeeking a Senior Java Modernization Engineer to support a largescale migration of legacy Perlbased applications to a modern Java platform The role involves developing Javabased frameworks FTPSFTP integrations workflow orchestration data processing pipelines batch applications and productionready enterprise services using Spring Boot and related technologiesKey ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and migrate legacy Perl scripts into scalable Java applicationsDevelop reusable frameworks using Java Spring Boot Maven and enterprise design patternsBuild secure FTPSFTP integrations and fileprocessing utilitiesDesign and implement workflow orchestration using Spring Batch Apache Camel or equivalent technologiesDevelop data ingestion parsing transformation and validation componentsIntegrate with Oracle databases and build optimized JDBCbased solutionsConvert complex batch processing logic related to pricing reporting performance and calculationsImplement automated testing CICD pipelines monitoring logging and exception handlingSupport UAT parallelrun validation production cutover and legacy application decommissioningCreate technical documentation and participate in knowledge transfer activitiesRequired Skills8 years of Java development experienceStrong expertise in Java 1117 Spring Boot Spring Batch Maven and REST APIsExperience with Apache Camel workflow orchestration or enterprise integration patternsHandson experience with FTPSFTP integrations file processing and ETLdata pipelinesStrong SQL and OracleJDBC development experienceExperience with CICD Git Jenkins SonarQube and automated testing frameworksStrong understanding of objectoriented design multithreading and performance optimizationExperience with logging monitoring and production support
