What You’ll Do

• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Execute inspections and PM routines on gearboxes, drive systems, pneumatics, and other rotating machinery.
• Mechanical Troubleshooting & Repair: Align drives, replace bearings/belts/bushings, service hydraulics, and return equipment to peak operation.
• Machinery Servicing & Setup: Calibrate, adjust, and perform teardowns on specialized cable manufacturing assets to achieve precise tension and line efficiency.
• Basic Electrical & Facility Support: Diagnose basic electrical issues, assist with secondary electrical troubleshooting, and handle general shop/facility maintenance.
• Shop Safety & 5S: Uphold safety protocols, maintain guards and interlocks, and keep work areas audit‑ready.

Must‑Have Capabilities

• Mechanical Aptitude: Extensive hands‑on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.
• Tooling & Fabrication Proficiency: Mastery of hand/power tools, alignment tools, precision measurement instruments, and shop machinery.
• Diagnostic & Analytical Skills: Proven ability to pinpoint root causes of failures, vibration, and mechanical wear.
• Autonomy & Work Ethic: Self‑motivated, reliable, detail‑oriented; adept at prioritizing repairs in a fast‑moving production setting.

Nice to Have

• Cable & Wire Shop Equipment: Experience with wire drawing, cabling/stranding, or extrusion machinery.
• Fluid Power & Drive Systems: Background with hydraulic power units, pneumatic controls, and heavy mechanical drives.
• Safety & Maintenance Practices: Familiarity with Mechanical LOTO, rigging, and 5S methodologies.
