Production Manager

Our client is a plastic manufacturer seeking to add Production Manager for one of their manufacturing facilities. The company is growing rapidly and is looking for a manager that can oversee this rapid growth and direct this world class manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity to join the company and advance within as they grow. Job Duties The Production Manager is responsible for all production operations. Oversees the activities of the Production Supervisors and manufacturing staff. Reviews and approves production scheduling with the supervisor to maintain production requirements and on time client deliveries. Monitors production efficiencies and equipment utilization reports, ensures production optimization using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods. Ensures adherence to ISO, OSHA and EEOC requirements within the plant. Oversees employee training for safety and performance. Sets manufacturing goals and monitors plant performance with the Production Supervisors, Trainers and Schedulers. Reviews manpower requirement and coordinates staffing with the HR Manager. Ensures strong communication and cooperation between departments. Oversee safety reports, accident investigations, employee reviews and employee disciplinary actions. Responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance, repairs and new equipment request. Other duties as assigned by the V.P. of Manufacturing. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering or related fields. 5 years of management experience in manufacturing.Plastics manufacturing experience preferred. Strong lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience. Six Sigma certification preferred. Good leadership skills, well organized and professional demeanor. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Proficient with MS Suite and experience with ERP systems IQRS knowledge is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
