Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical to join our healthcare team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care and support within the medical-surgical unit.
Position Overview
This role involves working 12-hour rotating shifts, including days and nights, with rotating weekends. The position guarantees 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs and health status, ensuring timely interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health management and medication use.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of hospital nursing experience.
- Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification via the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
Education
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required.
