AVES is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join our growing specialty hospital and work alongside an experienced, multidisciplinary team. Our new 45,000-square-foot facility was designed to support the next chapter of AVES, with 32 exam rooms, 9 surgery suites, expansive treatment areas, an in-house laboratory and pharmacy, and advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities.

You'll have the opportunity to practice advanced anesthesia and pain management alongside established Emergency & Critical Care, Surgery & Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology & Endoscopy, and other specialty services. AVES's collaborative model allows specialists to work closely together on complex cases, with access to CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, high-flow oxygen, advanced monitoring, and comprehensive emergency and critical care support.

In your day-to-day, you will:

Provide advanced anesthesia and pain management for a diverse and complex specialty caseload.

Develop individualized anesthetic plans for patients undergoing advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures.

Collaborate closely with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care, Interventional Radiology & Endoscopy, Diagnostic Imaging, and other specialty services.

Support patients through complex procedures with advanced monitoring and comprehensive perioperative care.

Contribute to anesthesia protocols, patient safety initiatives, and continuous improvement of clinical practices.

Participate in case discussions, rounds, and collaborative decision-making with the broader specialty team.

Help mentor and support veterinary technicians and other members of the clinical team.

Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians and provide clear, compassionate communication with clients.

Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.

Board Certification in Anesthesiology or Residency Trained in Anesthesiology.

Strong clinical knowledge and experience in advanced anesthesia and pain management.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to patient care.

A self-motivated, organized approach with the ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload.

A commitment to patient safety, high-quality medicine, and continuous learning.
