Clinical Operations Manager

Overview The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an Administrative Manager to support the evolving needs and priorities of the clinical enterprise and supporting operations within the department and sub-specialty divisions. This position reports to the Associate Department Administrator of Clinical Operations and works closely with departmental and UW Health leadership in clinical operations, regional development, coding and revenue, and enterprise analytics. Responsibilities include managing strategic projects, aligning communications and planning, developing reporting and operational data infrastructure to support workforce evaluation, and improving efficiency and optimization of clinical operations within the department and divisions. Some work may be performed in person at a designated campus location; some work may be remote or at offsite locations as needed. Key Job Responsibilities May supervise staff, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, and approving hours worked for at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent. Identify workflow needs, contribute to strategic and operational solutions, allocate resources, and implement revised unit policies and procedures. Lead development and maintenance of systems, reporting, and dashboards to support clinical productivity and operational needs in collaboration with department and institutional colleagues. Contribute to proposals for funding or continuation from outside sponsors. Schedule logistics and secure resources for program activities across multiple units to ensure efficiency and compliance with policies and procedures. Lead the development and preparation of periodic reports and financial statements, and track progress for leadership or external agencies. Plan, implement, execute, and evaluate strategies and objectives for a program and make recommendations to leadership for enhancements. Assist in development and monitoring of the unit or program budget and approve unit expenditures. Required Qualifications Minimum 4 years of administrative experience with increasing responsibility. Coursework or experience in project management. Proficiency/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative leadership role. Experience within a clinical operations environment. Experience with UW Health QlikView, Qlik Sense, and Health Link reporting. Project management certification or demonstrated experience leading projects. Education Bachelor's Degree preferred; focus in business, management, or related field encouraged. Compensation The starting salary for the position is $70,000 annually and is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
