Step into a rewarding role supporting students' physical growth and educational journey in a school-based setting near Clinton, MS. As a contract Physical Therapist, you'll play a crucial part in helping PreK-12 students develop the mobility and strength they need for academic success and daily participation. This opportunity offers meaningful collaboration with educators and families, along with long-term stability through May 2027.
Qualifications:
- Active Physical Therapist Licensure for the state of Mississippi
- Background working in a school environment or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to tailor treatment plans to diverse student needs, from PreK through high school
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
- Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students referred for physical therapy services, designing individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct therapy to students, monitoring progress and adjusting approaches as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and student progress
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute expertise to support educational goals
- Consult regularly with teaching staff to facilitate students' physical access and participation in classroom activities
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and independence
