Record Center Specialist

Job Summary:
Seeking a Record Center Specialist to support warehouse operations by processing orders, moving and organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment. This role is highly physical and requires strong attention to detail, safe material handling practices, and the ability to work independently while meeting productivity goals.

Location: Houston Tx 77055
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Overtime: Potential OT available based on business needs
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing orders for files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other stored materials.
• Move, arrange, lift, and load storage boxes, bins, and totes manually and with equipment.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and move boxes weighing between 10 lbs and 50 lbs on a regular basis without assistance.
• Read labels and accurately track materials using proprietary computer systems.
• Operate handheld scanners to process orders and locate inventory.
• Load and unload boxes onto pallets, carts, and trucks manually or with material handling aids.
• Operate hand carts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Shrink wrap pallets and prepare shipments for transport.
• Retrieve and store materials using ladders while maintaining balance and safety.
• Maintain inventory organization and ensure storage areas remain orderly.
• Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, records management, or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal inventory systems.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, crawl, bend, and twist for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly without assistance.
• Comfortable working on uneven or concrete surfaces throughout the shift.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights safely.
• Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Work Environment / Attire:

• Warehouse environment with continuous movement and physical activity.
• Concrete and uneven walking surfaces may be present.
• Protective footwear required and must meet  ASTM F2413-11safety toe standards.
• Footwear must have slip-resistant rating designated as  Better or  Best .
