Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.

• Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.

• To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.

• Assists in implementing plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice.

• Assists in making observations, gathering data and identifying patient care needs.

• Responds appropriately to emergency situations.

• Assists with patient transport and transfer.

• Assists with cleaning, stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

• Adheres to safety and risk management standards.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School GED General Studies and

• Completion of one of the following that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities:

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program or

• Medical Assistant program or

• Certified Nursing Assistant Program or

• Licensed Practical Nurse program or

• completion of one year of nursing school

• Certified Nursing Assistant: WA

• Licensed Practical Nurse: WA

• Medical Assistant Certification: WA

• Registered Nursing Assistant: WA

• Basic Life Support - CPR

• Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist: WA

Pay Range

$24.72 - $40.53 /hour
