Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Job Overview As a Production Team Leader in our food manufacturing facility, you will oversee and coordinate production personnel to ensure efficient operation and adherence to safety and quality standards. You will maintain productivity, manage resources effectively, and foster a positive working environment. Responsibilities Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to uphold high performance and morale. Delegate tasks to ensure equitable and efficient workload distribution. Provide guidance and resolve team issues or conflicts. Monitor production processes for compliance with established procedures and quality standards. Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics to optimize production flow. Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in scheduling production activities and allocating resources to meet production targets. Identify opportunities for production efficiency improvement and cost reduction. Conduct regular inspections of products and processes for quality compliance. Implement corrective actions for deviations from quality standards. Collaborate with the quality control team to maintain quality management systems. Maintain accurate production records, including volumes, downtime, and quality metrics in Redzone. Prepare and communicate production performance reports, identifying trends and improvement areas. Flexibly work non-standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience : High school diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Manufacturing Management, or related field (preferred). Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a similar industry (preferred). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) and related applications. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with effective communication across diverse teams. Solid understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations in the food industry. Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast‑paced environment. Bilingual language skills considered an advantage. Working Conditions The role involves daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, darkness, and noise. Seasonal exposure to extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity may occur. Physical risks include working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards. The position requires frequent sitting at a desk, walking around the office and plant, carrying packages up to 50 pounds, and using fine dexterity while reaching and kneeling. Actual compensation may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as geographic location. C.H.
