New Grad RN Nurse Residency Inpatient Rehab

The HCA Healthcare Residency Program at Frisbie Memorial Hospital is a year‑long, paid program designed to provide hands‑on experience and develop clinical and critical-thinking skills for graduate nurses. The program offers advanced training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship with a facility preceptor, hands‑on simulations, and mentorship from experienced nurse leaders. Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other activities as ordered by the medical provider(s) and document care in the patient medical record promptly. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and notify providers of unintended reactions. Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs. Teach patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology for complete understanding. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within one year of employment. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Registered Nurse license or Graduate Nurse in the state. No previous experience required; some travel may be needed for training.
