Assistant Teacher

Location: Avon Schedule: 8am-4pm Requirements: V Endorsement Date Posted:9/21/26 Deadline: 9/28/26 The Assistant Teacher provides support to Special Education Teachers in the classroom, preparing lessons, teaching students, providing direct support assistance. The AT will assist with behavior management during lessons, tracking students’ behavior and setting up classroom materials before class as assigned. Applicants with no experience and interested in entering the education or direct care field with a desire to serve people with disabilities, or individuals seeking a career change are encouraged to apply to this position. Before you apply for an internal transfer, it is expected that you will familiarize yourself with the position you are applying for, such as the driving distance, schedule, and the nature of the group home or classroom.
