Growing together.As a Principal Business Systems Analyst within UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement, you will lead enterprise technology, data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives from strategy through delivery. Partnering closely with business, product, engineering, data science, and architecture teams, you will design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and platform modernizations that simplify the healthcare experience for Medicare-eligible individuals. This role drives technical strategy, program roadmaps, and execution plans while ensuring scalable, enterprise-compliant technology solutions.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities: Lead enterprise technology, data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives from strategy through deliveryDesign, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automations to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on responsible AI useDefine product and program roadmaps, delivery plans, success metrics, budgets, and resource strategiesPartner with business, product, engineering, architecture, and operations teams to deliver scalable technology solutionsManage program financials, business cases, forecasting, vendor relationships, and executive reportingDrive requirements gathering, stakeholder alignment, prioritization, and delivery planningOversee program execution, dependency management, release planning, and operational readinessCollaborate with AI, data science, and engineering teams to deliver AI-enabled business capabilities, evaluate emerging trends, and inform strategic solution designPartner with technology and governance teams to ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standardsLead organizational change management and technology adoption efforts to maximize business value while mentoring cross-functional teamsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent technology or business systems analysis experience6+ years of experience leading enterprise technology, product, program management, digital transformation, data, or analytics initiatives5+ years of experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies5+ years of experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies4+ years of experience managing large-scale technology, digital products, platform modernization, analytics, or AI-enabled business programs3+ years of experience delivering complex cross-functional initiatives involving product, engineering, architecture, operations, and business stakeholders3+ years of experience developing roadmaps, business cases, governance processes, and execution plans2+ years of experience managing budgets, resource planning, forecasting, vendor relationships, and executive communications2+ years of experience partnering with engineering, architecture, data, and AI teams to design and deliver technology solutionsPreferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (e.g., Master's degree or MBA) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience in Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, or health plan operations within the healthcare/payer spaceProfessional Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SPC, CSPO, or PMP)Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and enterprise AI/ML deployment frameworks or workflow automation tools*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
