The role involves working closely with providers and the care team to ensure efficient patient flow and timely patient care throughout the day.RN would be providing comprehensive nursing care and care coordination for patients with non-malignant blood disorders such as anemia, sickle cell disease, bleeding and clotting disorders, and other hematologic conditions. Daily responsibilities include, rooming patients, drawing labs (via venipuncture, central lines, ports etc.), patient assessment and triage, reviewing laboratory results, providing patient education, coordinating treatment plans, managing in-baskets, medication refills and prior authorizations, responding to patient calls and electronic messages and collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, infusion staff, and ancillary services.
