BMW Master Certified Technician and Team Leader Richmond Location: 12100 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA 23113, USA Job Description We are seeking a Master Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, with a strong focus on a particular manufacturer line. This role will lead a team of technicians and deliver high‑quality service. Responsibilities Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Use the multi‑point inspection form on each vehicle. Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order. Communicate with the service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards. Conduct road tests to confirm work was successfully completed when necessary. Utilize products and technical training assigned by the manufacturer and management. Participate in manufacturer‑sponsored training programs and schools. Maintain the Manufacturer (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index at or above the specified goal. Complete necessary documentation for warranty repair orders and claims. Report any safety or integrity issues to management. Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on automobiles and light trucks. Use handheld diagnostic devices. Assist and mentor fellow technicians. Ensure vehicles are returned clean and in the same condition as before service. Complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right‑to‑Know. Comply with all laws and company policy regarding safeguarding customer vehicles and information. Qualifications ASE certifications heavily preferred; manufacturer certifications heavily preferred. Previous automotive technician experience required. Basic tool set and excellent technical and mechanical skills. Team player with ability to work repetitively on complex tasks. Minimum age eighteen years. Valid driver’s license. Ability to pass pre‑employment screening (background & drug test).
