Customer Care Agent

Overview Provides outstanding customer service to individuals contacting the Bank by phone, chat, or online. Resolves issues, provides information, and seeks opportunities to strengthen customer relationships by suggesting Bank products and services. Responsibilities Resolve customer problems such as account updates, debit card issues, product questions, account overdrafts, electronic disputes, online/mobile banking issues, and service charge questions. Perform a variety of transactions and maintenance on the customer’s behalf, including funds transfers, stop payments, debit card increases, address changes, and check orders. Suggest appropriate products and services to existing and prospective customers and cross‑sell other bank services such as Visa Credit Cards. Assist customers with fraud intake and support. Complete routine assignments and assist with more complex tasks with moderate supervision. Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations and complete required annual or job‑specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, RegulationCC, RegulationE, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations. Coaching, mentoring, or training others as needed and act as a subject‑matter expert. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (preferred); Bachelor’s Degree (preferred). Less than 2 years of customer‑service experience within a call‑center environment (preferred). Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to multi‑task and work with over 25 software applications. Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and banking software. Ready to learn Bank processes and procedures and sell Bank products and services through on‑the‑job cross‑training and formalized training classes. Pay & Benefits The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour. The selected candidate’s pay rate depends on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation.
