We are seeking 1st and 2nd shift Media Blast Technicians to join our Liquid division! If you are committed to joining a highly successful and motivated team and have a strong desire to partner with a company who promotes from within and rewards hard work, this is the job for you!

Position Overview:

• Efficiently perform manual labor requiring the use of hand-held or automated surface preparation equipment positioned at the proper angle to effectively remove scale, rust, oil, grease or other surface contaminants in preparation for protective coatings application.
• Assure blasted surfaces are clean and uniform per visual standards.
• Mix and meter blasting media to achieve customer requirements or Company standards.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as full-body blast suit, gloves, steel-toes and air-fed helmet hood while performing blasting operations.
• Apply protective masking as required to protect critical surfaces.
• Operate a forklift, handle or position materials.

Every employee is expected to:

• Adhere to all company PPE requirements and safety standards at all times to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Complete all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement
• Maintain the work area with high standards of housekeeping
• Perform self-inspection and other required quality control functions at the employee’s workstation
• Perform required Preventive Maintenance activities on machinery, equipment and respirators operated
• Train and/or assist in the development of personnel
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

*Environment Requirements:

• Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices are available and recommended.
• Ability to work in a hot (summer) environment, with cool-down and hydration accommodations provided by the company.
• Ability and comfortability to safely use a ladder, platform ladder or scaffolding.
• Ability and OSHA medical clearance to wear all respiratory protection including a half-face respirator and a fresh air-fed blast helmet.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour days

-- 1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm

--2nd shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:30am

Pay

• 1st shift - $20/hour
• 2nd shift - $22/hour ($20/hr + $2 shift differential)
