Driver ManagerDMT Trucking is a specialized flatbed operation, and part of the PS Logistics family of companies. DMT currently runs over 350 trucks and almost 500 trailers from our five terminals in Birmingham, AL, Scottsboro, AL, Camden, AL, Starke, FL and Broken Bow, OK. DMT Trucking provides safe and reliable transportation to customers across the eastern half of the United States, and is unique to any other PS Logistics owned company in that its fleet of over the road trailers is comprised of all 53-foot trailers. If you are looking for a career that gives you the opportunity to be a GREAT manager for our GREAT fleet, this is the perfect job for you!Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:Communicate ETAs with load plannersUtilize McLeod, which is our operating software, to assign work to drivers all over the countryDirect the daily activities of drivers to designated territories or dedicated operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and business objectivesProviding drivers with guidance on complying with any applicable local, state and federal statutes regulating the trucking industry.Ensure that drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on-time to our customers.Counseling drivers and assisting them with over the road issuesAssist drivers with keeping important documents up to date such as driver's license renewal, random drug tests and physicalsQualificationsDegree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or any related field or 1-3 years of experience in dispatch or fleet managementProficient experience with truck dispatch softwareFlatbed Experience a plusMicrosoft Office knowledgeExcellent written and oral communication skillsMust be detail oriented and have a great interpersonal skillsAdditional InformationThis position is Monday-Friday 7am-5pm.
