Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students with moderate to high-intensity needs in a dynamic, highly structured school environment. As a contract paraprofessional, you will be part of a flexible pool, deployed to locations in the Quakertown, Levittown, and Perkasie areas, addressing the immediate needs of students K-12 through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.

The population you’ll serve includes students with severe autism and behavioral needs—many require 1:1 or small group intervention, intensive safety support, and assistance with daily living skills. Your calm, compassionate demeanor and hands-on approach will help create a safe, supportive learning environment for students exhibiting aggressive or self-injurious behaviors.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in a special education setting (PreK-12), specifically with moderate to severe autism and behavioral challenges—this must be evident on your resume
• Familiarity with safety interventions, ADL support, and behavioral management
• Ability to provide intimate and physical care, including toileting, feeding, transfers, and active supervision throughout the school day
• Must meet at least one Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification (or be willing to complete certification within 60 days)
• Available for full-time, Monday–Friday shifts, with flexibility between 6:45 AM and 4:01 PM
• Reliable transportation and residing within 35 minutes of assigned sites
• Able to attend mandatory orientation week prior to assignment
• Comfortable in an environment with a high degree of turnover and variable assignments through the year

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with students 1:1 or in small groups, supporting behavioral and academic plans
• Implement safety and de-escalation strategies as needed
• Assist with students’ daily living activities and mobility tasks
• Commit to consistently attending and participating in all assigned hours and ongoing training

Take your passion for supporting diverse learners to the next level. If you’re motivated, adaptable, and eager to make a real difference, apply today to start the screening process!
