Hudson Meridian Construction Group, a leading construction services firm in the tri-state area, is looking for an experienced construction Project Accountant to join our Finance team!!

The Project Accountant is the primary accounting support for all assigned projects from startup through final closeout.  We seek a professional with industry experience and a solid understanding of accounting systems and general ledger.  This position serves as the liaison between the project team and the accounting department, ensuring all accounting standard operating procedures are followed by the project team.

Primary responsibility is the preparation and issuing of client requisitions for assigned projects in accordance with the client contract and inclusive of all billable company, trade/subcontractor and consultant costs.  The role will thoroughly review owner contracts, subcontracts, and be able to abstract and assemble contract information as needed for billing purposes (Control Books).  Additional responsibilities include performing activities related to contracts, bonds, insurance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, liens, payroll/cost/budget reports for the project management team. Participate in the general ledger review, scheduling, and various accounting department projects as needed. Responsible for project close-outs, subcontract reviews, and the accuracy of all data input to the general ledger and accounting department. Requires a general understanding and familiarity with the overall project execution process, including budgeting, cost reporting, cost control, schedule, anticipated cost, and project profitability. 

Experience with CMIC is preferred.
