Equipment Operator
Outdoor Pride Landscaping
Description This role will report to a property near the Salem, NH area. The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment which may include: front end loader, skid steer, tenant sweeper, Kubota tractor & attachments. Operator will use the equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include snow removal, parking lot cleanup & landscape maintenance client sites. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates equipment to complete a variety of job tasks to assist with landscape enhancement projects.
- Cleans, lubricates, and maintains equipment.
- Conducts daily equipment inspections reports on equipment before use.
- Reports any repair issues or equipment hazards immediately.
- Secures special attachments to equipment.
- Assists with general labor duties when needed, in order to complete landscape construction projects.
- Wears appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Completes daily paperwork detailing job hours and costs.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Works in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge and understanding of operating equipment.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
- Speak, read, and write English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational Certification.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience operating similar equipment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time, and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires good manual dexterity.
- Excellent stamina is required.
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.
- Work flexible hours including occasional weekends.
