Key Responsibilities

• Performing detailed patient assessments, ordering necessary tests, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families about wellness, prevention, and management of diseases
• Prescribing medications and treatment plans within your professional scope

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain them within 90 days)
