About the Opportunity:

\n

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Controls Technician I to support electrical systems, industrial controls, and compressor station operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an industrial electrical or controls technician who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing maintenance, and working with both modern and legacy industrial systems.

\n

Candidates with experience in paper mills, steel mills, manufacturing plants, oil and gas refineries, mining, or other heavy industrial environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and control systems.
\n
• Work with electrical systems operating at 480V and 138V.
\n
• Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, control logic, and associated control systems.
\n
• Maintain and troubleshoot motor starters, electrical wiring, motors, and control devices.
\n
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, including pressure and temperature transmitters.
\n
• Support compressor station maintenance, equipment operations, and field-level troubleshooting.
\n
• Work with a wide range of equipment, including both modern systems and older legacy equipment.
\n
• Respond to equipment issues and after-hours emergency callouts as required.
\n
• Follow applicable safety procedures and maintenance standards.
\n

Required Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
\n
• Experience with PLC-based control systems, preferably Allen-Bradley.
\n
• Knowledge of motor controls, electrical wiring, and industrial control devices.
\n
• Familiarity with instrumentation, including pressure and temperature transmitters.
\n
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control equipment independently.
\n
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours equipment issues.
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Technical training, an associate degree, or higher in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Instrumentation, or a related field.
\n
• Experience in heavy industrial environments such as paper mills, steel mills, manufacturing facilities, refineries, or mining operations.
\n
• Experience supporting compressor stations or industrial equipment operations.
\n
• Experience working with both older and newer electrical and control systems.
\n

Work Schedule:

\n

\n
• Monday through Friday, typically eight-hour workdays.
\n
• Participation in an on-call rotation approximately one week per month.
\n
• Additional after-hours callouts may be required based on equipment needs.
\n
• The role includes approximately a 50/50 split between electrical and controls work and general maintenance/operations, depending on the season.
\n
