Role Description: The Event Assistant is a part-time, hybrid role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, supporting the planning and execution of SOFLO Community Markets events. This role supports event setup and breakdown, vendor check-in and coordination, and on-site customer service to ensure a welcoming, efficient experience for attendees and participants. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining event schedules, organizing materials and supplies, communicating updates to vendors and team members, and monitoring event spaces for cleanliness and safety. The Event Assistant also supports basic administrative tasks such as tracking attendance, gathering feedback, and posting social media updates for upcoming and ongoing events. This position works closely with the event management team and may require weekend and evening availability. Qualifications Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to support vendors, attendees, and team members effectively. Experience or interest in Event Planning and Event Management to help organize and execute markets and community events. Strong organizational skills to manage logistics, schedules, and event materials in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL, including evenings and weekends as needed. Reliability in handling physical event tasks such as setting up booths, signage, and equipment. Basic proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and social media platforms for communication and event support. Collaborative mindset and professionalism when working with diverse vendors, partners, and community members. Previous experience in events, hospitality, retail, or community-focused roles is preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
