(USA) Area Manager

Position Summary Oversee daily operations for the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with the business plan, staffing goals, and scheduling requirements. Manage productivity, quality, and safety standards while developing associates and leaders within the team. Responsibilities Implement the business plan by communicating goals, managing staffing, scheduling, and assigning duties to achieve facility objectives. Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns through active listening and consultation. Monitor productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. Maintain quality and safety standards, ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies. Supervise and develop associates and leaders: assign duties, monitor performance, provide feedback, identify training needs, and participate in hiring, promotion, and coaching. Manage maintenance and installation of systems, hardware, and software, overseeing repairs and tracking inventory. Troubleshoot system and application issues, working with Information Systems Division and vendors. Apply expertise to develop and improve action plans, providing guidance on information and best practices. Implement business solutions: build relationships with stakeholders, identify needs, determine processes, monitor progress, and capitalize on improvement opportunities. Model compliance with company policies, supporting Walmart’s mission, values, and integrity principles. Operate with integrity and promote a culture of belonging and high performance. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in a logistics or retail environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Logistics, or related field. Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and productivity. Experience with system maintenance and troubleshooting.
