Position Details Job Type: Permanent Offering: Physician (MD/DO) Specialty: Pediatrics or Family Medicine Setting: Outpatient only Start Date: ASAP Facility Highlights Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) outpatient setting Multiple brick-and-mortar clinic locations plus a Mobile Medicine program Patient population: Medically underserved communities EMR: Epic Schedule & Coverage Schedule Options: Five 8-hour days per week Optional 4/10 schedule Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (or approved 4/10 schedule) Lunch Break: One hour Telehealth: Yes (two telehealth slots per day) Weekend Rotation: Yes (Saturday rotation) Providers may take a weekday off or elect additional compensation for Saturday coverage Patient Volume: 3 patients per hour Practice Environment Typical patient volume: Approximately 3 patients per hour (20-minute visits) Protected administrative time built into the schedule Age range treated: Pediatrics: Ages 0–19 Support staff: Medical Assistants, Care Coordinators, Front Office staff Work style: Independent practice with strong interdisciplinary collaboration Call responsibilities: Yes - Phone-only call approximately 2–3 weeks per year, depending on provider pool Provider Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat conditions, prescribe medications, and order diagnostic testing Coordinate specialty referrals and care transitions as clinically appropriate Deliver patient and family education with a focus on culturally responsive care Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and performance initiatives Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation in Epic Review and respond to labs, imaging, consults, and patient messages Collaborate with and supervise APPs as applicable Provider Requirements MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Family Medicine Minimum of 2 years recent experience (Primary Care, Family Medicine) Prior FQHC or community health experience strongly preferred Commitment to serving underserved populations Active California medical license (or ability to obtain) Active DEA and CPR/BLS certification Prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid required Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary care model Credentialing Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days Credentialed with major payors and insurance carriers Compensation & Benefits Base Salary (MD/DO): $212,160 – $275,808 annually Sign-on incentive available Paid Time Off CME time and allowance Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Retirement plan (403b) Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Professional Development Leadership and teaching opportunities available Support for certifications and additional training Annual performance reviews Interested candidates, please send your resume to Kayla Garza at View email address on click.appcast.io or call/text View phone number on click.appcast.io for more information.
