PainterThe Painter uses paint/body experience, Grit Blast, and sound judgment to complete assigned paint requirements.Your ImpactPaint according to Oshkosh AeroTech specificationsComplete assigned Lean initiatives including 5s activitiesTroubleshoot problems, identify and communicate discrepanciesComplete required paint documentation including VOC log and check sheetsMove painted parts to the next process verifying they meet Oshkosh AeroTech specificationsRecommend improvements to paint proceduresPerform all duties in a safe manner and keep all employees aware of dangers in work areaPractice good housekeeping in work areaFollow Safety, Health, Environment, and Hazardous Waste rules and responsibilitiesOther projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretionQualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDTechnical / vocational / or military training or related experienceTypically has five or more years auto paint and body experienceExperience with prep, grit blast and final paint of heavy machinery requiredAutomotive experience is a plusExperience with Epoxy Primer and Urethane Top Coating processes is a plusExperience with industrial painting is a plusMust be flexible and willing to work overtime when neededAbility to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environmentOshkosh is committed to working with and offering reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities.
