We are proud to offer industry leading compensation, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) match with additional profit sharing, PTO and abundant career opportunities.Come join our award winning 11,000 strong organization as we fuel the world and each other!Summary:Successful candidate will be expected to perform basic operations and maintenance tasks necessary to operate Trunkline Gas Company pipeline and compressor station assets in a safe, reliable, and regulatory compliant fashion.Essential duties and responsibilities:The employee will be required to live within 45 minutes of the Cypress, TX compressor station.The employee will work a 7:00-3:30 schedule. Effectively uses hand, power, and specialty tools and equipment such as computers and associated software applications.Maintain records for required state, federal, and company procedures.Utilize computers and e-mail for internal and external communication, record keeping, on-line reporting, material and supply ordering, and filing/maintenance of various forms & records.Responds to emergency situations. Schedules, coordinates, and inspects the work of third party contractors. Operates portable and mobile work equipmentActively contributes, providing and supporting the training of other employees, performing administrative duties in addition to technical tasks; and other activities such as budgeting, planning, scheduling, problem solving, prioritization, performance management, and decision-making.Conduct line patrols, respond to one calls, and other damage prevention activitiesAssists fellow employees or technical personnel and/or performs other tasks as defined by the Operations Manager. Performs work independently with minimum supervision.Required education:High school diploma or GED preferredRequired experience is commensurate with the selected job level:Level C requires a minimum of 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experienceLevel B requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experienceLevel A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experienceComputer and basic office software experience as well as a strong background in the natural gas industry is desired.Effective written & verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing & maintaining good working relationships with others, to support company objectives, and willingness to work in all areas required by Operations Manager.Candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, individual responsibility, and willingness to accept constantly changing priorities.Highly motivated and 100% dedicated to area/division/corporate goals. Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, Gas Control, Engineering, Division Staff, Landowners, Contractors and Vendors.Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and schedule work. Subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions and temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions.Must be able to work in remote locations, often working alone. May be required to travel to other company locations for temporary assignments, meetings, and training.May require some overnight stays away from home. Incumbent is subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and extended work-days and/or work-weeks. Required to carry a cell phone and is subject to 24-hr/day callout at any time for emergency response.Candidate must have a proven safe driving record and provide documentation of past traffic violations upon request, as well as maintain a valid driver's license.Incumbent will be required to take and pass a pre-employment drug test, and will adhere and is subject to all U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol related regulations, and will be subject to background check.Working Conditions:Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionallyDriving, walking, standing frequentlyExposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipmentOccasional overnight travel may be required
