Bistro Associate

Full Time Days

** Pay rate up to $18.50/hour**

UMC is currently seeking a Bistro Associate for our Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is thoughtfully designed to provide person directed care in a home-like environment to ensure exceptional care and quality of life for our residents.

Requirements for a Bistro Associate:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1 year related experience

Responsibilities for a Bistro Associate:

• Provide security for all shop items and Record sales, collect money, operate cash register. Total and summarize funds received, endorse checks, prepare bank deposits, verify cash at the beginning of shift. Assist is locating, reconciling and verifying the accuracy of transactions. Make change and supply receipts or tickets to customers.
• Set-up and stock products/supplies. Arrange and maintain coffee bar and cart supplies in a neat and sanitary manner. Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables. Ensure the acceptable appearance of the dining area by cleaning the dining area after meals.
• Keep records and requisition for supplies/ equipment. Keep shelves/racks stocked and rotate stock to ensure
• Properly store food. Estimate food requirements. Utilize knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage. Read recipes and/or product directions. Operate a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foods for cooking, serving and storing.
