• Duration: Ongoing locum tenens coverage needs
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call: 1:2 call rotation with weekday and weekend coverage
• Guaranteed Hours: 8 per day
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,140 - $5,510
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

Job Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant license in California
• Active California DEA
• 3-5 years of Physician Assistant experience preferred
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, or surgical first assist roles preferred
• Ability to perform radial and endoscopic vein harvesting
• Experience interpreting EKGs, X-rays, and labs
• Ability to support ECMO, IABP, and Impella cases
• Experience with OR assisting and ICU/step-down patient management
• ACLS and BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room with cardiothoracic procedures
• Provide rounding and clinic coverage in a hospital-based setting
• Manage ICU and step-down patients as part of the multidisciplinary care team
• Support weekday and weekend call coverage as scheduled
• Interpret diagnostic studies and contribute to timely patient care decisions
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and the broader care team to deliver high-quality patient care
