As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist with the predictive, preventive, and reactive maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment and facilities infrastructure. You will be an ideal candidate if you have working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, compressors, boilers, chillers, water treatment, dust collectors, basic electrical including controls, and safety including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), fall protection, and basic rigging. You'll be a standout if you also have experience with robotics and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).Leading and coaching skilled trades is essential to the success of this role and your direct reports. Strong communication skills are required. Ability to manage work queues of direct reports and confirm essential work is being completed on time, parts are charged out and/or ordered, and work orders closed properly is essential.Your Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of skilled tradesAssign work orders – predictive, preventive, and reactiveRespond with priority to requested supportMaintain control of backlogs through the effective use of planning and scheduling functionsLead, mentor, coach, and develop skilled trades in the performance of their duties and to their full potential; identify skill gaps and support with internal and external trainingAnalyze critical and recurring repair problems, initiate required action, and provide technical assistance and follow-upCoordinate, together with the Maintenance Planner and MRO Buyer, the ordering and stocking of critical repair parts and other maintenance materials within Maintenance StoresEnforce required safety protocols to support company policies, commonly understood safety regulations, OSHA, and FM GlobalMaintain an organized shop environment including assigning 5S duties; cleanliness and good housekeeping are daily and shift-to-shift requirementsSupport and adhere to assigned budgetSkills/RequirementsWhat You'll Need to Bring to the Table:Associate's degree in a technical program required; a bachelor's degree is preferredA combination of education, military experience, and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree5+ years of progressive experience in Maintenance Operations roles3+ years supervisory experience, specifically supervision of Mechanics, Electricians, Electro-Mechs, and/or other skilled tradesExperience in maintaining automated manufacturing processes is requiredExperience with SAP Maintenance Module is a plusApplicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.We believe in supporting you from the moment you join us, which is why Kohler offers day 1 benefits. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
