Duration: 13-Week Contract

Shift: Various Shifts - Days and/or Nights

Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts, 5 Days/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient care in a Behavioral Health setting. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of CNA experience, preferably within a behavioral health unit. This role may also include working as a patient sitter on a Med-Surg unit based on facility needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, and respectful care to behavioral health patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and other basic care needs.
• Observe and report changes in patient behavior or condition to the nursing team.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Work as a sitter on the Med-Surg unit when assigned.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control standards.
• Accurately document patient care and observations in EPIC.
• Collaborate with nurses and other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

• CNA certification required.
• 1 year of CNA experience preferred.
• Previous Behavioral Health unit experience preferred.
• Willingness to work as a Med-Surg sitter when needed.
• Ability to work various shifts, including days and/or nights.
• Strong communication, observation, and patient-care skills.
