About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required, traveler experience accepted. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, EPIC experience required. ACLS and NIHSS preferred. Description: RTO after booking is NOT allowed. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancellation. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required. Unit accepts first-time travelers. Locals are accepted with a rate difference. Skills required include IV start and telemetry. The target nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6 to 1:7. Unit will accept contracts for 13 weeks or longer. 36 hours can be offered per week. Floating may be required as needed. Every other weekend is required. Patients are primarily Med-Surg. Orientation consists of 24 hours. Scrubs are not provided; navy and/or white are acceptable colors. Must have EKG testing prior to the start for this specialty. Candidates must meet behavioral expectations in all interactions. All testing must be completed within 48 hours of signing. Candidates must be open to floating to similar units as needed. Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO is allowed during the first week. All RTO must be pre-approved. References can be pending upon submission. Modules may be required prior to start and annually.
