Train directly under a tenured industry expert and seamlessly inherit a diverse, thriving portfolio of projects.ð Premier Manufacturing Culture: Experience a workplace that balances a diverse business mix with a supportive, high-morale culture where engineering expertise is genuinely respected.Immediate Impact: Join a “busy-from-day-one” environment with strong sales and active projects already waiting for your expertise, ensuring you are a vital contributor from your very first week.About the RoleDue to the retirement of a long-term employee, a leading manufacturer in their industry is hiring a Cutting Tool Design Engineer to join their established team.Reporting directly to the Director of Product Development, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineering, operations, and sales professionals to support new product design and development.Key Responsibilities:Product Innovation: Design and develop new cutting tools and refine existing products to provide higher value and better performance for users.Technical Standards: Establish and maintain technical specifications and product standards for the company’s tool catalog.Research & Benchmarking: Lead research into new grinding techniques and materials, and perform machine tests to benchmark tool performance against competitors.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to align product designs with customer needs and production feasibility.Technical Support: Provide expert advice on tool geometries, materials, and proper machining applications.Project Management: Coordinate development projects from initial technical feasibility through production and design optimization.Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols (such as Lockout/Tagout), and quality manual procedures.Other duties as directed by management.Candidate ProfileThis is a hands-on position requiring a strong problem solver who can support sales and manufacturing teams, analyze data, communicate effectively, and thrive both independently and in team environments.
