Staff Accountant

Job Description We are seeking a motivated and detailed‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Your expertise will support the organization’s financial health through precise data entry, account reconciliation, and thorough analysis of financial information. Responsibilities Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions and the general ledger daily or weekly to identify and resolve discrepancies. Administration: Maintain orderly financial filing systems and respond to inquiries from customers and vendors. Prepare annual tax reporting and license filings. Reporting: Assist with month‑end and year‑end close procedures by analyzing balance sheet (including fixed assets) and income statement data and generating routine financial and summary reports. Back‑up to Accounts Payable (A/P): Process vendor invoices and pay disbursement checks. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Experience: 1 – 3 years. Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office (Excel a must). Key Traits: Strong mathematical skills, high‑level attention to detail, team player and strict commitment to confidentiality.
