Responsibilities Design and develop advanced laboratory technologies that integrate robotics, analytical instrumentation, and software into cohesive, high‑performing solutions. Partner with researchers to understand experimental needs and convert them into scalable digital workflows. Collaborate with experts in automation, data science, modeling, IT, and the CMC community to advance scientific research. Lead high‑impact projects from concept through deployment, working across teams and stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. Continuously improve existing digital technologies and automation platforms to enhance performance, usability, and reliability. Support and train scientists using these technologies, providing hands‑on partnership, troubleshooting, and training. Qualifications Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical), Physics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Material Science, or a closely related field (or equivalent experience). M.S. with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or B.S. with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Experience: Highly motivated, technology‑centric scientist with background in data‑rich laboratory technologies including PAT, benchtop automation, analytical instrumentation and hardware integrations, and software enablement. Demonstrated scientific ability through publications and conference presentations. Excellent communication skills, creativity, and effective interpersonal skills. Ability to deliver complex solutions under compressed timelines and in a dynamic environment. Team‑player with cross‑functional collaboration experience. Required Skills Analytical Instrumentation, Automation, Biochemistry, Biopharmaceuticals, Data Analysis, Laboratory Automation, Laboratory Techniques, Process Analytical Technology (PAT). Preferred Skills Experience with a broad range of laboratory automation tools and technologies to integrate systems and hardware. Expertise in PAT, including designing and deploying integrated sensors and integrating analytical instrumentation physically and digitally. Track record of new technology research and deployment of digital and data‑rich methodologies. Evidence of cross‑functional collaboration in academic or industrial settings. Motivation to learn new skills and willingness to take on new challenges. Salary & Benefits The salary range for this role is $117,000.00 – $184,200.00. A successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
