The HVAC Sales Representative is a high-impact role focused on driving the growth and profitability of FirstCall Mechanical’s service division. Your primary mission is to bridge the gap between complex facility needs and our technical solutions, establishing long-term, profitable relationships with new commercial clients. You will serve as a consultant to Facility Directors, offering innovative service agreements that prioritize sustainability and modern digital efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Networking
- Prospecting: Execute a disciplined sales process to identify and qualify high-potential leads.
- Network Building: Leverage market trends and professional networks to generate referrals and schedule discovery appointments.
- Strategy: Design and implement territory-specific marketing plans that align with FirstCall’s growth goals.
Consultative Sales Process
- Needs Discovery: Perform deep-dive sales calls with Facility Directors to identify mechanical pain points, inefficiencies, and equipment risks.
- Solution Engineering: Pitch creative service solutions, focusing on renewable maintenance agreements , decarbonization, and digital service monitoring.
- Closing: Finalize proposals and secure commitments by positioning FirstCall Mechanical as the premier choice for facility health.
Account Management & Operations
- Lifecycle Management: Lead customer kick-offs, manage contract renewals, and identify "pull-through" opportunities for equipment upgrades.
- CRM Integrity: Maintain accurate account records, progress reports, and sales data using the BuildOps platform.
- Liaison: Coordinate with the service team to ensure seamless delivery and assist with customer issues or collection support when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2–3 years of progressive sales experience, ideally within HVAC Retrofit and Preventative Maintenance (PM) sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: A solid understanding of Building HVAC systems and an aptitude for technical details.
- Communication: Superior presentation skills with the ability to "speak the customer's language" in both 1-on-1 and group settings.
- Discipline: Proven familiarity with professional sales methodologies and rigorous follow-up standards.
