Position Overview

We are seeking a polished, professional, and experienced Front Desk Supervisor to lead our patient-facing team in West Columbia. In this role, you will act as a "working manager"—meaning you aren't afraid to jump in to answer phones or assist a patient, all while maintaining an organized and highly efficient front office.

This is a salaried leadership position. While we highly value a healthy work-life balance, the ideal candidate must be reliable and responsive to occasional after-hours emergencies or critical emails.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Direct and mentor a dedicated team of 6 front desk staff members; manage interpersonal team dynamics to ensure a harmonious, respectful, and professional work environment.

Operations & Scheduling: Oversee patient scheduling for our off-site locations and manage the opening/blocking of provider templates within the EMR system.

Administrative Oversight: Handle team timecards and accurate payroll submissions.

Provider Collaboration: Maintain seamless, respectful, and highly professional communication with our physicians.

Patient Relations: Serve as the escalation point for challenging patient situations, ensuring every patient leaves feeling heard and cared for.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

Healthcare Leadership: Proven experience managing, leading, and developing a team within a medical or healthcare practice setting.

Insurance Expertise: 1 to 2 years of solid medical insurance experience. You must thoroughly understand primary vs. secondary insurance structures (e.g., how Medicare interacts with commercial or supplemental plans).

Professional Demeanor: Exceptional verbal communication, a polished presentation, and the emotional intelligence required to lead a diverse team and interface with specialized physicians.

Dress Code: Position requires wearing medical scrubs daily, as you will be highly visible and active in patient-facing areas.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience working with EMR systems, specifically Practice Plus.

A natural eye for detail and a passion for optimizing front-office workflows.
