High School Biology and/or Chemistry Teacher Overview Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, a Chesterton Academy, is a Catholic classical high school located in north metro Denver. The school seeks to foster wisdom and faith among its students, promoting a holistic education based on the Western civilization tradition and the liberal arts and sciences. Responsibilities Teach biology and/or chemistry to high‑school students, demonstrating subject matter excellence and engaging teaching techniques. Plan, deliver, and assess lessons that align with the college‑prep curriculum of a Catholic classical school. Maintain a positive classroom environment through effective management and clear communication. Offer extra‑curricular support such as club supervision, mentorship within the House System, and other duties as assigned. Attend daily Mass with the student body and participate in spiritual retreats or school activities whenever possible. Qualifications Proficiency in biology and/or chemistry, with a minimum of 3–5 years of high‑school teaching experience. Demonstrated organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong commitment to Catholic classical education and the mission of Chesterton Academies. Practicing Catholic who is willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and who models Catholic virtues in daily life.
