The AI Intern supports the development and implementation of artificial intelligence projects while gaining hands‑on experience with emerging technologies. Working under the guidance of mentors, the intern will assist with research, data preparation, prompt engineering, testing AI tools, and documenting project outcomes. This internship is designed to introduce high school students to real‑world applications of AI and develop technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Responsibilities Research artificial intelligence concepts, tools, and industry trends. Assist in collecting, organizing, and preparing data for AI projects. Create, test, and refine prompts for generative AI models. Evaluate AI‑generated outputs for accuracy, quality, and bias. Support the development of simple AI‑powered applications and automations. Document project processes, findings, and recommendations. Collaborate with team members on AI experiments and presentations. Follow ethical AI practices, privacy guidelines, and data security standards. Participate in training sessions and continuously learn new AI technologies. Qualifications Currently enrolled in 11th grade. Strong interest in artificial intelligence, technology, or computer science. Basic familiarity with generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT or similar platforms). Good communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to new challenges. Preferred Skills Basic programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or Scratch is a plus). Experience using AI tools for research, writing, or coding. Understanding of prompt engineering fundamentals. Curiosity about AI ethics and responsible AI use. Learning Outcomes Gain practical experience using AI tools and technologies. Develop prompt engineering and AI evaluation skills. Learn the fundamentals of AI workflows and data handling. Build collaboration, communication, and project management skills. Create a portfolio of AI projects and presentations demonstrating real‑world applications of artificial intelligence.
