Property Accountant

Property Accountant Our client is looking to add a Property Accountant to their corporate accounting team. This role offers stability, clear structure, and the opportunity to grow alongside a well-established team. This position supports a portfolio of assets and plays a key role in monthly close, financial reporting, and day‑to‑day accounting operations. The role works closely with accounting leadership and property operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both detailed accounting work and cross‑functional collaboration. What You’ll Do Manage monthly close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation for a portfolio of assets Provide ongoing financial oversight, analysis, and reporting to support operational and ownership decisions Review revenue and expense activity to ensure accuracy and completeness Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables in partnership with on‑site teams Support centralized accounting processes and assist with internal projects and process improvements Build strong working relationships across accounting and operations What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 1+ year of accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience welcome) Strong Excel skills and solid understanding of financial statements Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to manage deadlines Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
