Cashier/Sales Associate - Mid-day/2nd Shifts

Overview Are you a night owl who works best independently? Our third-shift Sales Associates (typically between 2 PM and 10 PM) are responsible for keeping the store running smoothly overnight — often as the only employee on site. This role is ideal for someone who is confident, self-motivated, and comfortable working alone for extended periods. You’ll be trusted to handle everything from deep cleaning restrooms and taking out trash, to stocking shelves and maintaining the fuel area. You will also be responsible for assisting late-night customers and ensuring the store stays secure, clean, and ready for the next day. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and prefer a quieter, more independent work environment — this shift is for you. Being able to stay alert, make sound decisions, and manage responsibilities without direct supervision is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales — ensuring compliance with all age verification and legal requirements Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales Keep the inside and outside of the store clean and safe, including: Deep cleaning high-use restrooms Wiping down and sanitizing gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets) Picking up litter and trash from the floor and lot area Taking out the trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh and full Maintain a clean and organized store — sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed Follow all safety procedures and company policies Be a team player and step in to help wherever needed Open availability for shifts and weekends Shift details: Midday Shift (anything between 12 PM and 12 AM) or Overnight Shift (10 PM–6 AM) Qualifications & Skills Ability to stay alert, make sound decisions, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively Basic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) Physical ability to frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Pre-employment screening: drug test and criminal history background check Reliable, responsible, flexible, and customer-focused Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required; on-the-job training provided Perks & Benefits Free soda or coffee while working Weekly pay Flexible schedules — full-time and part-time available 401(k) Opportunities for advancement — we promote from within Pay rate: $13.73/hour Regulatory & Company Information Age requirements: 18+ in certain states; 21+ in others Overnight availability and weekend/holiday work required Equal Opportunity Employer: GPM Investments, LLC does not discriminate in employment and personnel practices on the basis of race, sex, age, disability, religion, national origin, sexual orientation or any other basis prohibited by law This organization participates in E-Verify Note: For information on benefits offered, please visit the official careers page. #J-18808-Ljbffr
