Senior AML Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior AML Analyst to support Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering compliance activities within a financial services environment. This position will conduct complex investigations, perform enhanced due diligence reviews, assess customer risk, and help identify potentially suspicious financial activity. The ideal candidate has a strong background in banking, auto lending, AML investigations, and regulatory compliance , along with excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive investigations into suspicious transactions and customer activity. Perform enhanced due diligence ( EDD ) reviews of high-risk customers. Complete risk assessments for deposit and commercial lending customers during onboarding. Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify potential money laundering, fraud, or other suspicious activity. Prepare clear, thorough reports and supporting documentation for regulatory authorities. Assist with the development and implementation of AML compliance training. Maintain current knowledge of applicable BSA/AML laws, regulations, and industry best practices . Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other external partners when needed. Support the BSA/AML Officer with additional compliance initiatives, projects, and responsibilities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of direct experience with BSA/AML compliance processes, procedures, and regulations within a bank or financial institution. 4+ years of experience conducting AML investigations, EDD reviews, and/or fraud investigations. Banking and auto-lending experience . Strong analytical, investigative, and critical-thinking skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Experience using AML compliance software and data-analysis tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting AML compliance within an auto-finance environment.
