Account Executive, Outside Sales

Account Executive - Marketing & Sales (M&S Department)
Remote - MUST reside in or around Charlotte NC

Within our organization, the Marketing & Sales (M&S) team is responsible for the strategic development & maintenance of our customer base. You will work with a professional cross-functional team who will assist in the identification, development, and support to achieve an industry leading customer experience.
Key Accountabilities:
- Business Development & Customer Relations - Identify new opportunities, maintain, and improve the value of existing business, and grow positive customer relations.
- Sales Plan - Create, execute, and deliver continuous improvement of the business plan with focus toward growing revenue, contribution, and customer value.
- Bid & Contracts - Develop strategies, collaborate with prospective customers, and work with cross functional teams to establish a quality business relationship.
- Compliance - Adhere to and role model OOCL competition compliance polices & procedures in all business activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in industry sales experience (ocean transportation, steamship industry)
- Required Travel: 25%, or as needed to cover the sales territory
- A valid driver's license and vehicle is required as this is an outside sales position
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
Preferred Skills:
- Organized, planner, ability to prioritize
- Ability to listen and help navigate sales
- Adaptable with effective written and oral communication
- Negotiation and interpersonal skills
