Account Manager – Health & Risk Solutions Client Success Sun Life U.S. is looking for an Account Manager who will manage the overall relationship and financial management of a portfolio of HR&S clients, brokers, and third‑party administrators (TPAs). This role supports client execution, delivers recommendations, and ensures a seamless client experience. Responsibilities Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, TPAs, and internal partners. Collaborate across Distribution, Underwriting, Clinical, Claims, and Premium teams to ensure seamless implementation and alignment on client needs. Manage the full lifecycle of assigned business: prospect activity, sold case implementation, renewal inventory, and contract delivery. Conduct proactive outreach through calls, emails, and meetings to assess, clarify, and validate client needs. Leverage negotiation and influencing skills to align client needs with business objectives. Manage escalated service issues, including those from SLS, identifying root causes and coordinating resolutions. Oversee eligibility, engagement strategies, communication campaigns, and employee utilization for Health Capabilities products. Use Salesforce and CRM tools to manage account activity, document interactions, and communicate delays. Collaborate with SLF personnel across support, service, and leadership teams to meet client expectations and growth objectives. Support Client Services initiatives in partnership with Senior Account Managers and build relationships with SLMM partners. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 1–3 years of experience in Group Stop Loss and/or Self‑Funded insurance preferred. Excellent customer service and client relationship skills. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proven negotiation, persuasion and solutions‑based service experience. Organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment. Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities. Independent and collaborative work style with professionalism and accountability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and CRM tools. Strong collaboration, listening, influencing and conflict‑resolution skills. Compensation Salary range: $63,000 – $94,500. Base salary determined by skill, experience, education and location.
