Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid — 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote
Salary: $95,000–$105,000+ annually, depending on experience
Travel: Approximately 10%
Relocation: Not available

Position Overview

Our client, a well-established international organization, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join its Virginia Beach team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who enjoys operating at both the strategic and hands-on tactical levels . You will partner directly with senior leaders and business units while supporting employee relations, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent strategy, HR operations, and change initiatives.

This is not a purely administrative HR role . The successful candidate will be comfortable serving as a trusted advisor to leadership while remaining actively involved in day-to-day HR execution. The position has no direct reports and reports to the Director of Human Resources.

What You'll Do

As an HR Business Partner, you will:

• Serve as a strategic thought partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives.
• Translate business objectives into workforce, talent, engagement, and employee-experience strategies.
• Advise leaders on complex people matters, organizational design, leadership effectiveness, culture, and change.
• Support workforce planning, budgeting, merit planning, succession planning, and talent reviews.
• Lead and support initiatives designed to strengthen employee engagement, retention, organizational capability, and culture.
• Coach leaders through employee relations and performance-management matters.
• Partner with leadership on talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational capability .
• Support onboarding and early-tenure programs that improve productivity and retention.
• Provide strategic guidance on employee relations matters while ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
• Identify people-related risks involving performance, engagement, retention, leadership behavior, and compliance.
• Analyze workforce and HR data to provide actionable insights regarding hiring, engagement, attrition, headcount, and cost.
• Support HR systems and operations, including HR technology and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve HR processes.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues and business teams across an international organization.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
• Demonstrated HR generalist experience
• Direct experience functioning as an HR Business Partner or senior-level HR Generalist
• Successful experience partnering with senior leadership
• Strong employee-relations and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience managing projects, competing priorities, and deadlines
• Experience collecting, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting HR/workforce data
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at multiple organizational levels
• Ability to balance strategic HR initiatives with hands-on operational responsibilities
