General Maintenance WorkerAs a General Maintenance Worker, you will work outdoors year-round in Arizona's desert environment, playing a hands-on role in building and maintaining the flood control structures that protect our communities. Through skilled and unskilled construction and maintenance work, you directly support public safety while helping preserve the natural landscape.Beyond flood protection, the Flood Control District maintains multi-use facilities, including hiking trails, bike paths, and open spaces, that enhance the quality of life across Maricopa County. Familiarity with four-wheel-drive capabilities and self-recovery winching techniques will occasionally be needed.Protective Equipment RequiredFieldwork will often be conducted in remote locations under potentially extreme weather environments. Attire for the position will be provided and maintained by Maricopa County and has the potential for general construction and/or field inspection PPE required to perform duties daily.
