Senior Manager, Communications

Job Description

We’ve partnered with a leading global law firm in its search for a Senior Manager, Communications to join its high-performing Communications and Client Development team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to help shape the profile of one of the legal industry's most prestigious brands, working closely with senior leadership, market-leading partners, and key external stakeholders.

In this role, you will play a strategic leadership position in developing and executing communications initiatives that elevate the firm's reputation across key markets, practices, and sectors. You’ll work across a broad range of content and channels, promoting significant transactions, high-profile litigation victories, thought leadership, and firmwide strategic initiatives.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to partners and internal stakeholders, helping translate complex legal and business concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with media, clients, and the wider market. From media relations and profile-raising campaigns to awards strategy and digital communications, you will be central to strengthening the firm's visibility and market position.

The successful candidate will combine exceptional writing and strategic communications expertise with strong stakeholder management skills. This role offers significant exposure to senior decision-makers and the opportunity to influence the communications strategy of a globally recognised professional services brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic communications and visibility initiatives that enhance the firm's market profile and reputation.

• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities to promote the firm's practices, lawyers, and client successes through targeted media engagement and thought leadership campaigns.

• Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts while supporting partners in developing their external profile.
\n
• Lead the creation of compelling content across multiple channels, including press releases, bylined articles, website content, social media, and other external communications.

• Monitor industry developments, competitor activity, and media trends to provide strategic insight and recommendations to firm leadership.

• Collaborate with communications, marketing, business development, and practice teams on integrated profile-raising initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in strategic communications, media relations, or marketing communications within a leading law firm, professional services firm, or similarly complex corporate environment. You will possess exceptional writing and editing skills, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders while managing multiple high-profile initiatives simultaneously.
